Animal Cruelty Charges - 30 Ferrets Rescued - Phoenix, NY
A man who had nearly 70 animals living together with him in a Phoenix apartment has been charged with seven counts of animal cruelty, all misdemeanors.

Our AC has been having problems today and Farrah does NOT like it at all. Thankfully I was able to stay home and keep her downstairs where it’s cooler because the downstairs AC unit is functioning fine, but it just scares me to think that what if I wasn’t home? Farrah probably would’ve died…

These were taken mere moments before she bit me on the nose.
Lucy’s only bad habit is nose biting. It’s just noses (though she has been known to dabble in chins and earlobes). We think she was freaked out at a young age by someone smooshing their face on her or something (humans are weird).
We’re working on it.

the ferretorium: We got more deaf ferrets in at work.
Well, one. An epic badger blaze. Female, too.
I tried to send her back to the breeder on the grounds of “she’s deaf, deaf ferrets are hard to sell” but since the breeder (Marshall) doesn’t do hearing tests on their ferrets, there was “no proof” so I wasn’t able to make those “assumptions”.

The GCFA Shelter is looking for a few good volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings!
The fuzzies that need special feedings and medicine regularly are presently in danger of not getting the attention they need. Our current shelter volunteers are trying their best to take on extra shifts to save these little lives, but they can’t keep up the extra time any longer.
